The Whimsical Wonder Bar
This week, my childhood best friend and I turned 23. It’s always been fun having our birthdays five days apart, but it’s especially fun now that we can explore the Austin scene without parental supervision. :)

We jumped on the bandwagon and visited Wonder Bar, the newest bar in the Domain NORTHSIDE area, and let me tell ya…it’s something. Cocktails in disco balls, graduated cylinders, patrón glasses, coconuts, and more. They’ve got a tub full of rubber duckies, a giant teddy bear, banana swings, and chairs shaped like lips. This is a great place to go with a group of people during the day or at night! Keep reading for my tips.

A few things to note before you go:
• This is a 21+ bar, so you have to show a valid ID at the door. Sorry youngin’s, your time will come
• They have standard bar snacks for various prices, but the food isn’t anything to write home about
(I recommend grabbing dinner after at Velvet Taco or Culinary Dropout)
• The cocktails are $12 for the most part, so you best like fruity drinks in cool containers
• I’d advise going during the day so the lighting for pictures is bright
• Wear solid colors for optimal Instagram pictures—there’s crazy colored wallpaper and props everywhere
Jump into the whimsical world of Wonder Bar. It will surely send you into sensory overload, but at least you’ll have a fun cocktail in your hand!
